About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support our data center operations within the AWS Infrastructure Services team. This team is responsible for the global design, delivery, and operation of AWS infrastructure. As a Logistics Specialist, you will help keep the cloud running by supporting supply chain operations, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the timely and safe delivery of components critical to data center functionality.
You will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, supply chain experts, and operational staff in a dynamic, high-impact environment. This position involves physical activity and requires individuals who are highly organized, dependable, and safety-conscious.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels to support data center build and repair activities
- Receive, check-out, and transport parts and components
- Load and unload incoming shipments
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and logistics transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Collaborate with Technicians and Engineers to meet operational needs
- Work weekends as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of logistics, warehousing, or shipping & receiving experience
- Experience with inventory management practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with WMS/IMS systems
- Experience using computerized inventory systems
- Knowledge of waybills and shipping procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience in reverse logistics or working in a warehouse/distribution center
- Experience managing vendor relationships
Physical & Environmental Demands
- Standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods
- Handling materials, lifting, and moving products
- Exposure to varying temperatures (60–90+ degrees)
- Moderate to loud noise levels
- Working around mechanical equipment
